Spring/Summer – 3 days
If you are planning to visit Porto in the spring or summer, we recommend that you dedicate at least three well-organized days to explore the city. In addition to visiting the city’s tourist attractions, such as the Clérigos Tower and the Lello Bookstore, we recommend that you set aside time to visit the Douro Wine Region, which is one of the most beautiful regions in Portugal. And of course, you cannot miss the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the city.
Autumn – 1.5 days
In the autumn, the city is less touristy, but still offers many options for visitors. We recommend that you only visit local sites in the city and set aside at least one and a half days to explore these tourist spots, such as the Ribeira and the Porto Cathedral. You can also take the opportunity to taste the local cuisine in some of the many restaurants scattered throughout the city.
Winter – 24 hours
In winter, the city offers specific attractions that can be enjoyed despite the rain. However, we suggest that you plan your visit in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises. We recommend that you set aside at least 24 hours to visit some of the indoor tourist attractions, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Casa da Música.
