Pastel de Nata

Pastel de Nata (egg tart or custard tart) is a typical Portuguese pastry, each pastry, and  bakery has its own recipe but the original recipe is a secret of Fabrica dos Pasteis de Belem (Lisbon).

In the north of the country, the name of this tart is abbreviated to "nata" and the portuenses usually like to take their espresso together with one.

Today you can enjoy a "nata" in many Portuguese-speaking and Asian countries, as a result of the relation between Portugal and the exterior.
